Climb to the 3 highest summits & Ski the longest descends of Greece
A 7 day trip where you can climb to the 3 highest summits of Mount Olympus (Mytikas-Stefani-Skolio), ski the longest descends of Greece and visit Vergina archaeological site and Thessaloniki.
DAY 1
Thessaloniki – Litochoro
Airport pick up. Transfer to Mount Olympus. Dinner. Overnight in a seaside location.
DAY 2
Litochoro – Gortsia – Petrostrouga refuge – Plateau of Muses – "Christos Kakkalos" refuge – Summits of Profitis Ilias and Toumba
Breakfast. Transfer to Gortsia (elevation: 1000m). Climb to Petrostrouga refuge (elevation: 1950m). Lunch. Climb to the Plateau of Muses (elevation 2650m). Dinner. Overnight in Christos Kakkalos refuge (distance 12km, elevation gain: 1700m, 6-8 hours). Evening ski tour in the Plateau of Muses. Ascends to the summits of Profitis Ilias (2790m) and Toumba (elevation 2802m) for the sunset views. (Total elevation gain 1900m).
DAY 3
Mytikas summit – Megala Kazania – Plateau of Muses
Breakfast. Climb the Mount Olympus summit (Mytikas or Pantheon, 2918m). Lunch at Christos Kakkalos refuge. Afternoon descend in Megala Kazania cirque (descend 500m). Ascend back to the Plateau of Muses. Dinner and overnight at refuge Christos Kakkalos. (Total elevation gain 850m).
DAY 4
Stefani summit – Gavos Valley – Prionia – Agios Dimitrios village
Breakfast. Climb to the summit of Stefani (Throne of Zeus). Return in the refuge. Ski down Gavos valley down to Prionia (descend 1300m, 1 hour walking). Lunch in Prionia. Transfer to the north side of the Mount Olympus. Dinner and overnight in the village of Agios Dimitrios (Agro touristic Hotel Ktima Bellou).
DAY 5
Agios Dimitrios village – Xerolaki Valley – Skolio summit – Christaki – Petra village
Breakfast. Transfer to Xerolaki valley (1 hour of drive, starting elevation 1300m). Skin up to the summit of Skolio (2912m). Total ascend 1650m. Ski down the north couloir of Christaki (descend 1600m). Lunch in the village of Petra. Dinner and overnight at Ktima Bellou.
DAY 6
Petra village – Vergina archaeological site – Thessaloniki
Breakfast. Visit at Vergina archaeological site and museum. Lunch. Transfer to Thessaloniki. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Thessaloniki.
DAY 7
Thessaloniki
Free time in the city of Thessaloniki. Transfer to the airport. Outbound flights.
